My Experience of The Oneness Breakfast

For all those who want to know what its all about, please check the following link
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/pages/The-Oneness-Breakfast/175170550343

Well... I saw some friend attending this event on facebook and out of cheer curiosity thought of checking the event and bla bla bla... to cut the long story short, I ended up attending the event due to the same curiosity.

Turns out this is part of Global Oneness Project and in Pakistan its founded by Ramla Akhtar & Shahjahan Chaudry. The main idea is to accept the difference, like we all are human beings but we all are different in terms of color, race or religion. So rather than wasting our energy on "I'm right & you're wrong." we should work on accepting others the way they are because reality is what we see and it can be different to everyone.

On the first breakfast there were 16 people who showed up, it was very nice, healthy & interactive discussion we had there. Two weeks later the strength was down to 8, some old weren't able to make it but some new joined in as well. Today was 3rd breakfast and the number of people was 6, again some old left while some new joined. Guess that's how life goes on.

So what started for me as curiosity is now turning out to be a gathering of friends where healthy ideas are discussed and some jokes are exchanged. I personally think that its getting better day by day since the problems and issues we address are not new to others... they've also faced the same.

Here I would like to mention a few names who have attended all the three breakfasts and I hope to see them in future too because I really enjoy their presence and get to learn as well.

Ramla Akhtar - Founder of Oneness Breakfast in Pakistan. Her job is to conduct the whole session, she's the one who comes up with ideas and topics to be discussed every week.
Shahjahan Chaudry - Co Founder with Ramla. His Job is to provide us with space & food (J/k... lol)
Faraz Haider - BSC Computers by Profession, he's trying to find the answer to the question "Who am I & why am I here?"... Well, his Sufi Intellect is very much needed for the discussions to go on.
Kamran Iqbal - A doctor by profession, he's a big fan of Iqbal and he believes in portraying the "Correct Image" of Pakistan
Muhammad Omer Arshad - ME - Well... Some people are sent to this world so that it can look a crowded place (-:

Thats about it for now.

Sad... )-:

Well...

I really dont know what to write here... Writing this because my sister wanted me to otherwise I personally prefer to keep such things to myself.

Sometime back when my sister used to live in Islamabad they became friends with another family. It was a very nice family, very helping. I also met them on a few visits there. Like my sister says, "it was her Maika away from home." Now daughter of that family named Shumaila got married to this guy Nasir last year in August. Nasir being a year younger than me. Shumaila is expecting a baby this August.

Nasir being the bread earner of his family which includes his wife, parents & small siblings.

Yesterday Nasir thought to go to some "Meezar" for some "Mannat" for his soon to born kid. He was accompanied by 4 of his friends. On the way some cyclist came in front of them and while they were trying to save that cyclist, they banged into a bus. Nasir and 2 of his friends passed away and another lost his senses and went insane due to the huge shock... 4 families are effected because of the carelessness of 1 cyclist...

Normally (like 2-3 months back) I would've felt that the cyclist should be murdered... but I dont know why, when I think about this whole thing now... I really feel that it all happened because Allah wanted it this way. We are no one to blame the cyclist because we dont know what his problems and worries are... I dont know under what frame of mind he was going... Probably he too was thinking about how to arrange money to take home and feed his kids in the night. We dont know because nobody does such thing intentionally without a strong motive...

The Bang - 30th March 2009

Well... I knew I would be writing about it but just didnt know when I'll write about this one... its like whenever I used to start writing KESC had to interrupt (u wont believe, its the 3rd time I'm trying to write this today)

On the above mentioned date I went to Airport to pick up mom, now on the way back instead of taking Shaheed-e-Millat Expressway mom asked me to take the route of FTC to avoid the traffic of PAF Chapter. When I reached Tipu Sultan traffic light it was red & as expected I stopped. But the guy coming behind me opted otherwise... and DANG!!!! the bumper of one of my most favorites (Altis) got chipped.

The other car was a santro club driven by a guy in his early 20s. As usual he came out trying to be all smart donkey (I know its smart ass but I find pleasure calling him a donkey) and putting all the blame on me, when I said let me call the cops so they can decide whose fault it is. He also called his dad to come help him out. Anyways... Since we're living in beloved Pakistan, I was unable to get through 15 (another reason to leave this country). Once I had enough of his idiotic nuisance, I asked him to go stand quietly since I was about to loose it. The Champ goes, sit in his car & tries to run away. (he thinks he can escape my 1.8 petrol on his 1.0 CNG? Meh! bite me)

I caught him at the PSO pump near nursery, so I got off my car, slapped him hard through his window and took his keys before he could get into sense. Told him to wait for his dad and went to sit in my car, Mom in the meantime called Khaldoon thinking we might need to "settle" the issue

Now comes his dad (bigger ass)... and after a lot of "bla bla bla" it was decided that we'll go to his office to settle the issue which happens to be at Badar Commercial. I asked Khaldoon to go with him while I went home to drop mom & joined them from there.

Again we go for another session of "bla bla bla" and then the bigger ass says he'll pay the next time since he's short of money, Khaldoon who claims to be the Dad of Karachi thought of taking his word and despite all my objections and demand of taking documents of his car as surety said that he'll handle it... I only smiled because I didnt think the guy planned on paying (the amount was 2500 which was 50% of the damage and he wanted to go for some help so the amount was cut 50%) and I find it hard to believe someone who owns two cars at least (XLi & Santro), office in Badar, Claims to be a lawyer & builder cant afford this amount.

Guess what? I'm finally able to finish this post (oh yea that too) but other than that... today is 30th of May :) exactly 2 months AND the guy still hasnt paid... I've lost hope but Khaldoon keeps calling him to hear everytime that he doesnt have money... Such a true Pakistani.

So here I'm passing his details so if anyone of you knows the family... please dont trust them...

The Bigger Ass' name is Javed, says he's a lawyer and a constructor
Lives in Johar (I dont know if its true)
Office in Badar Commercial Area (behind Bader Store)
He drives a 2004 White Corolla XLi
His Son the smaller ass drives a Santro Plus Gray Color with AMI sticker on it and the number of that Santro is AFP 491

I'll update you all when (read IF) I get the money.

Grow UP!!!

Part of this post is taken from http://jamash.wordpress.com/

Yesterday a friend was going for a picnic with her office mates and since I know a couple of her colleagues as well so they invited me in, Now since it was mother's day and I had plan of going for lunch with my mom so I decided to join the picnic after that...

It was GREAT fun at the beach, though I am not a big fan of beach but I liked the wind and company of nice friendly people around. When they decided to go in the water to get dirty I had to decline since I was planning to attend a dinner later and I didn't have time to go back home and change so I thought to stay away from water.

I was sitting at the hut listening the conversation of some guys outside (who also happen to work at the same office) talking about the girls who were there. They were doing a postmortem as if a detective would profile murder suspects. They were judging the character of every single girl by their appearances. "Look her shirt is so tight, and her boobs are so huge, she surely cant be virgin" , "Look at the other, her chest is completely flat, she must be a lesbian: , "Oh that one is continuously talking to Mr.X, they must be having a scene", Then they went about making a fuss out of a visible bra straps which they saw at office a few days back, telling how they saw a bit of a cleavage while they walked passed a girl sitting at her desk, and how they "think" so and so girl is a whore or not or a virgin or not. And just for the records, these men happen to be well educated who have been around women since university at least which means around 5-6 yrs at minimum.

While sitting there listening to them silly gossips besides disgust I felt a bit sorry too for these guys.

I mean For heaven’s sake What the FU*K do you guys have to do if she is a God damn whore or a Slut or a virgin or not? Are you some sort of a bloody keeper whose duty if to guard female virginity. And they are women, they are not some bloody object that you might be able to own someday, like you are looking for an untouched "Packed and Sealed" piece. And Why the hell No one questions how many girls you slept with before you decided to be "sincere" with one or in some cases several just so you can have Verity.

I am a man myself but I cant disrespect even a Female Sex Worker out there because of so many reasons and these men the majority of them, wouldn’t pause for even a second before they see a girl and they would instantly start judging her, weighing her and analyzing her character and boiling it all down to the possibility of her being a virgin or not… the only thing these men won’t give the woman is the respect and freedom which is their fundamental right of every human being.

Ranikot – Largest Fort in the World.

My friend is here from Dubai,a member of PW.So only a few things to do,eat, tea and go on a trip.Plan was made in a hurry. We were sitting and chatting (tea is there yes) when HB said why dont we go to Ranikot,so Racer f2 (nick on PW) delays his flight from Monday to Wed and plan is made for us to leave Karachi at 3 am on Sunday.

A bit about Ranikot

Ranikot Fort. Located about 30 km southwest of Sann, in the Kirthar Range, approximately 120 kms from Hyderabad Toll Plaza and 262 kms form Karachi. It is one of the largest forts in the world.

It has an approximate diameter of 9 km. Its walls are on the average 6 meters high and are made of gypsum and lime cut sandstone and total circumference is about 29 km. While originally constructed for bow and arrow warfare it was later expanded to withstand firearms.

It is reputed to be the largest unexplored fort in the world. The purpose of its construction and the reason for the choice of its location are still unknown.
Our travell

3am – Left Karachi
5am – Breakfast near Toll Plaza, Hyderabad.
6am – Left Hyderabad Toll Plaza.
8.30am – Reached Ranikot
10.45am – Left Ranikot
2pm – Arrived Karachi.

Total Kms traveled 495.

Its a great place and hard to explain what it felt like, its just so big the whole place so beautiful.Loved every min of it,though the 2 hour walk was a pain and legs are still stiff.

If you get a chance do visit this place. And i had no idea as the others didnt either that the largest fort is in Pakistan.

I like the mystery about the whole place that no one knows for sure who built it and when it was built and so on,but would like to know.

To read more about it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranikot_Fort

Well another trip for the diary, and one to Gawadar is in the making, along with the all Pakistan trip to which i prob will not be able to go (dam work)

Just like that...

Today I'm happy for no reason... It was a nice day... what we call, "quality time"

Work is going good Alhumdulillah, nothing major to worry about... Listening to a very cute song from a very stupid indian movie... feel like smiling... This is a day when you want to express yourself for no reason... like NO REASON

Oh! I'd like to mention something here... Something happened today... Well... later when I was discussing it with a friend, I was advised "Why didn't you grab the opportunity, she seemed interested" and my reply was a smile with "but I wasn't interested"... Well... as expected, I was called names after that... Ah! I don't mind because I'm happy today... What I would feel like mentioning here however is... I'm single not desperate... There's a difference which ONLY a few people know of can even a fewer can understand...

AH! What the Fuck? I'm just happy today (-:

How do you get high?

Okay my creativity is in FULL SWING tonight so here's second blog of the night...

I was having this discussion with Khaldoon today while we were going somewhere, What is getting High? or getting addicted to something, why we do that?

Ask any smoker, they say they smoke because it helps them relief tension... so why dont others smoke? I mean in the world today, everyone has tensions of their own, no?

Well we all have our ways, we all get "high" it only matters what works for us... Like for myself, I drive or I write... depends how tensed I am, one of these two things always help me relief tension and I feel relaxed...

Now what one should look into is, what kind of "addiction" are you adapting? or what works for you better? Why not get into some non harmful "addiction" like reading, writing, listening to music, painting etc. rather than smoking, doping or drinking?

P.S. I Love You

No its not about the novel or the movie based on the novel

Today I went to get my sister's phone repaired (yet again) and the idiot at the repair shop misplaced the memory card... I'm glad we're not someone who keeps important stuff on memory card and always take backup on computer however the only pain is that I've to make play list all over again (and till I do that, listen to my sis)... guess that's a price I cant avoid )-:

Anyways... After a lot of "negotiations" I was given another memory card... Now this card happens to be a used one and thus there was some data of the previous owner... I went through the card before formatting it hoping to find some nice songs however what I found didn't take me by surprise but I thought of it as something as worth sharing...

Any Guesses?

Well there were some recorded calls between the previous owner & "THE love of his life" (Meh! Bite ME)

Now the calls were pretty stereotype obviously recorded by the guy claiming his "sincere" love and the girl all falling for that... I guess even that too is something all the adults know about and inappropriate for those who don't know what that is ;) so no point wasting time over it...

Now what I want to ask girls is... EXACTLY HOW FOOL ARE YOU? cant you just see that? I don't know the "characters" (I shouldn't mention any names here, right?) in the recordings but even then I was able to understand that the guy is fooling around with the girl and playing around just to feel like a MAN... Shame on such guys!

Okay I know I'm no saint here and have done my share in the past but one advice to all the guys, if you want to be a "man" then be MAN enough to be honest and if then a girl also want to be a party (trust me, there are such girls) then go for it... atleast don't tell a girl that she's the ONE when she's just ONE in the lot... I agree your "LIST" wont be that interesting and you wont be able to brag among your friends about a new girl every month but... Ah! Nevermind, because I know whatever I say wont make a difference...

However when you're about to hit your next "target", just think about one thing... How would you feel if someone treats your sister or daughter (in future) the same way?

"What goes around, comes around"
